Miami community protests unjust police shootings
NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Outraged members of a community gathered over the weekend outside of a Miami-Dade Police station to protest unjust police actions that led to four deaths whithin a month.
Angry protesters say that in a matter of three weeks, between October and November, there were four Police-involved shootings where four people died. Frisco Blackwood, Michael Knight, Roger Brown, and Gracia Beaugris have all been killed by police for different reasons in this time period.
The rally was organized by several organizations including the NAACP, CopWatch, the Miami Workers Center, Veye-Yo and others. "Justice for my son. He was killed brutally by police, I want justice for my son," said Cheryl Kerr, Michael Knight's mother. Knight was laid to rest today Saturday morning just before the rally.
