Rivalry between realtors lands one in court
MIAMI (WSVN) -- A realtor accused of posting fake escort ads on a website of his former co-worker and real estate rival has plead guilty.
Dean Isenberg plead guilty to four misdemeanor counts of stalking Wednesday morning after allegedly posting Debbie Blasberg's cell phone number on fake escort ads. "I just hope that this is one step in moving forward to change the laws so that other women or anyone else does not have to go through what I went through," said Debbie Blasberg.
For the last year Blasberg says she has been living a nightmare after receiving several phone calls all hours of the day from the escort ads. "He has plead guilty and, unfortunately, it goes on and on because I will be suffering from this for a long time," said Blasberg.
Though Blasberg is pleased to see Isenberg plead guilty, she still feels justice can never fully equate with her misery. "I'm happy there is some closure at this point. Unfortunately, the punishment doesn't fit the crime," said Blasberg.
Isenberg's lawyer says his client just wants to get this case out of the way and get on with his life. "What Mr. Isenberg wanted to do was put this past him," said Andrew Rier.
Isenberg will have to perform community service hours and pay $12,500 to Blasberg in restitution.
